About HPAS
High Plains Aerial Solutions is a newly launched—Rapid City–based aerial services and safety training company serving Western South Dakota. We provide drone photography, ranch and agricultural support, insurance documentation, proposal drone experiences, and certified ATV safety instruction for youth and adults.
The biggest question I can ask is -

Founded by an FAA Part 107 certified Remote Pilot with leadership experience in wildland fire operations, our company is built on precision, safety, and rural reliability. Every project is conducted with careful planning, controlled operations, and a strong commitment to protecting people, property, and livestock.
Beyond commercial services, High Plains Aerial Solutions is committed to community and youth outreach. We work to introduce students and young adults to drone technology, aviation fundamentals, and the pathway to becoming a certified drone pilot. Outreach presentations focus on what it truly takes to operate professionally — FAA Part 107 certification, airspace knowledge, safety procedures, equipment training, and real-world responsibility.
We also offer real-time on-site aerial viewing through a dedicated iPad Pro display system, allowing clients to monitor footage live during operations for enhanced coordination and transparency.
Our goal is to inspire interest in aviation, technology, and rural workforce development while strengthening safe operational culture across our communities. As we continue to grow, we are expanding into advanced inspection services and additional safety training programs to further support Western South Dakota.

After first responders have cleared the area, we can help provide visual aerial documentation for insurance and property records.
